Trade fair, congress and culture – Exhibtion Karlsruhe offers a wide range of different event formats for exhibitors and visitors. Although trade fairs have only been held there since 2003, a comprehensive portfolio of a wide variety of topics has already established itself: from renowned trade fairs to popular trade fairs. With its congress centre, trade fair Karlsruhe offers a suitable setting for demanding specialist topics with a small number of visitors. The trade fair location is rounded off by various event rooms such as a large concert hall for a selected cultural programme. This mixture pays off: Every year, trade fair Karlsruhe registers almost 770,000 visitors and almost 8,000 exhibitors.
Exhibition Karlsruhe – A modern, dynamic and growing business location
Trade fair Karlsruhe is a comparatively young location for the German trade fair landscape, but it is developing rapidly. This is partly due to the modern and conveniently located event rooms. Four column-free exhibition halls of 12,500 square metres each are located on the site. This also includes the dm-arena, a multifunctional hall for up to 14,000 visitors. The total area of the hall is 52,000 square metres, plus an outdoor exhibition area of 10,000 square metres. Trade fair Karlsruhe also benefits from ideal transport links: The exhibition grounds can be easily reached via the A5, A8 and A65 federal motorways and are located on the four-lane Bundesstrasse 36. 4,500 parking spaces are available to visitors on the exhibition grounds. From Karlsruhe main railway station, the trade fair centre can be reached with the S2 line within just under half an hour.
Exhibition Karlsruhe – Home of important trade fairs
Although trade fair Karlsruhe is still a young trade fair location, it is already the venue for a number of important trade fairs. These include, for example, IT-TRANS and the constantly growing Learntec. IT-Trans was established in 2008 by the International Association for Public Transport (UITP) in cooperation with Karlsruher Messe- und Kongress GmbH. The trade fair for public transport is regarded as the leading international trade fair for the sector and focuses on the topics of passenger information systems, fare management, smart cards, software in general, fleet and vehicle management as well as security and communication technologies.
